Andressa Malaga Barreto

Technical Drafting & Design Support

Andressa Malaga Barreto is a licensed architect in Brazil with nearly two decades of experience spanning both South and North America. After graduating from architecture school in 2006, she spent five years working in New York and New Jersey, including time at the now-closed Asfour Architecture, a residential-focused firm specializing in traditional wood-frame construction.

She later joined Earthship Biotecture, where she worked for six years as both a designer and as Michael Reynolds’ assistant, gaining hands-on experience with radically sustainable systems and earthen building techniques like adobe. She also collaborated with architect Mark Goldman in Taos, NM, focusing on the design of sustainable and affordable homes.

Andressa is particularly skilled in technical design and drafting, and brings deep knowledge of natural building methods to every project she touches. Her work reflects a unique balance of precision, warmth, and environmental sensitivity.

What most inspires Andressa is working with clients who are truly connected to their hearts. She believes architecture becomes meaningful when approached with honesty and authenticity; as a beautiful way to bring someone’s quiet dream into the light. For Andressa, design is an act of deep listening and a process of translating heartfelt vision into physical form, and shaping spaces that truly reflect and support the people who inhabit them.
